Happy Friday tout le monde! How are you planning to celebrate your weekend? Are you the type that likes to relax and rejuvenate, i.e. quiet nights in front of the TV, hot cups of tea and warm baths, catching up on reading and housework, and cat naps and lots of time to yourself? Or are you the type that likes to be an active, social butterfly? Eventful nights out with friends, stiff glasses of long island iced tea and loud music, catching some new moves on the dance floor, and no sleep and no time to wash those dirty dishes in the sink?
Whatever your preference, it's always important to keep hydrated and eat right. What's great about this 'Green Machine Smoothie' is that it's both simple to make and is super delicious, thus, I imagine it would be equally as enjoyable on a bright, early Saturday morning after a full night's rest, or a late, hungover Saturday afternoon after only a few hours of sleep ;). It's full of flavour and nutrition. Pair it with a piece of toast or a bowl of granola for an extra filling first meal of the day!
Green Machine Smoothie

Vegan Prep Time: 5-10 minutes
Cook Time: 1 minute
Yield: 1 large smoothie
Ingredients:
5-6 slices of frozen peaches
5-6 chunks/cubes of fresh pineapple
1 big handful of fresh spinach
4 heaping tablespoons of vanilla coconut yogurt (YOSO brand is great!)
1 small/medium banana
3/4 cup fresh orange juice (less, or more to determine thickness). You could also use water here if you prefer less sweetness
Directions:
Wash and prep all fruits & veggies.
Combine all ingredients in blender (I like to use my Magic-Bullet), blend and voila!
Yummy spinach!
